Media Relations

The Wallich: BBC Radio 1 and ITV Wales

BBC Radio 1 did a focus on youth homelessness and  wanted to speak to people aged 18-25 about their experiences. Ben, a client of The Wallich seemed the perfect fit and was interviewed by another young person and shared his experience. The interview was featured on the R1 Breakfast Show, Drive Time show and is available on the website.

ITV Wales

From a simple press release a national broadcast piece can be filmed and this is what happened with the story I ran reporting an 83% rise in rough sleeping in Cardiff.

ITV Wales filmed with The Wallich, its clients and staff and did a live broadcast with the Research and Policy Officer on the 6pm news. There was also lots of print coverage too.

“Emina is brilliant at finding and telling the stories that really matter and can capture the essence of any organisation. The press releases and articles she wrote engaged our charity with wider audiences and brought us closer to local communities and the Welsh public alike, raising our profile and strengthening our brand.
She has great media relationships which meant The Wallich gained coverage in many national outlets like The Guardian, BBC Radio 1 and Wales Online.
Emina has a natural rapport with people and is able to get the best out of them, whether that’s talking to a client about their life experience or contributing her media relations knowledge to staff”.
Antonia Watson, Chief Executive of The Wallich.
